An MRI revealed a fracture to my C1 vertebera, which caused damage and inflamation to the myelin sheath which put pressure at the top of my spinal cord, squeezing part of it. Spinal fusionwas called by two surgeons-but it would not repair the damage and could lead to immediate and permanent paralysis. I finally settled upon trying stem cell therapy which showed great promise for reparing myelin. As it took time to arrange, a friend suggested your practice to hold off the worst effects of my increasingly deteriorating condition. Acupuncture had noticeable benefits pre-stem cell therapy; I am confident that my symptoms would have become worse then they had become before I had stem cell treatment. Post stem cell therapy, I do beleive that acupuncture is directing the healing process in an enhanced manner. My symptoms have not disappeared (it has been six weeks since stem cell treatments) but they have ameliorated considerably.
