Katelyn is a certified acupuncturist and herbal medicine practitioner by the NCCAOM. Earning a masters degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture. While at NESA, she also completed the Japanese-style Acupuncture program, which uses abdominal palpation and pulse to diagnose and treat with fewer points.
She has also earned her Bachelors degree in Health sciences, at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. There, she researched the efficacy of Acupuncture for conditions like carpal tunnel, fibromyalgia, chronic low back pain, anxiety, insomnia, and numerous other diseases and ailments. As well as, how acupuncture can support other specialties as an adjunctive therapy. For example, with post-surgical recovery, addressing side effects from medications, such as headache, nausea, or fatigue.
Her interest in holistic healing started at a young age. Seeing how acupuncture has supported people suffering with chronic pain, digestion issues, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, and many other health concerns. Throughout her career she has sought out knowledgeable mentors, who has helped fortify her knowledge in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine theory. Katelyn incorporates acupuncture, chinese herbs, cupping, Gua Sha, moxibustion, and myofascial release, to help treat her patients.
